Homecoming?? please help me?!?

so my freshman year of highschool i missed homecoming because i was sick and we're sophomores now and now that homecoming is coming up, everybody is all talking about it and excited and they know what to expect but i dont and IM FREAKING OUT. does anybody have any tips or pointers for me?? please help me this is really stressing me out .thank you so much
