I think that good conversation is truly an art, in which listening (and subjugating your own desire to be heard and lauded) plays an immense part. If you have two people who care more about what the other one is saying, you can have one beautiful and respectful conversation, and you'll learn a lot about the person with whom you're speaking, too.
